Collaborative artist books are hand-bound books conceived and created for and in conjunction with
exhibition and public programs.
Public program with the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, San Luis Obispo CA, accompanying the exhibition, Literally. Participants created an individual page of content in response to present times and their concerns.
These pages were gathered and bound into Present Tense.
Public program with the Craft Contemporary Museum, Los Angeles accompanying the artists' books exhibition, Chapters. What Remains is an interactive book based on definitions of redaction.The pages of What Remains are culled from various books and rebound into a single book. As part of a collaborative edit, participants were invited to alter the text to create a new document. What remains will be a new, collectively created text.
Public program with the Craft Contemporary Museum, Los Angeles and the National Endowment for the Arts based upon the Big Read event on Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Participants created individual pages in response to themes from the book, which were culled and bound into this handmade tome.
